Services: 11:00am Saturday, February 25, 2017 at the South Colonial Chapel (6934 S. Western Ave).

Curtis D. Sadler went to be with the Lord, February 22, 2017 at the age of 93. He was born April 12, 1923 in Healdton, Oklahoma to his parents, Ira and Willie (Hankins) Sadler. As a young man, he grew up on the family farm, helping with milk cows, horses, chickens, pigs and maintaining a one-acre garden. After graduating from Dundee High School, Curtis honorably served his country in the United States Navy. During active duty, Curtis received acceptance to study “propeller mechanics” in Chicago, Illinois, at the Navy Pier-Specialist School. While in Chicago, Curtis met the love of his life, Mary Weed, as she helped him to his feet after an ice skating fall. They were married less than a year later and together shared more than 68 years of marriage until her passing on September 17, 2013. Curtis provided a warm and loving home for his family as an Oil Production Supervisor for Mobil Oil Company for close to 40 years, until his retirement in 1985. Most of his retirement, Curtis spent at Lake Texoma, until moving to the metro in 2012. He was a season ticket holder at the University of Oklahoma and loved attending any OU sporting events, especially football games. Curtis also enjoyed playing golf, fishing, hunting, and was a VFW volunteer for many years. Curtis had a quick wit and loved playing jokes on people, especially his family. Curtis will be forever in the hearts of his family and friends.

Curtis was preceded in death by his:
Wife of 68 years, Mary W. Sadler;

and Ashley Sadler;
