Harry Benjamin Grindstaff entered Heaven’s gates on Wednesday, March 15, 2017, at the age of 85. The son of David Anderson and Mary Delitha (Bailes) Grindstaff, Harry was born June 14, 1931, in Mt. Hope, West Virginia. After attending Mt. Hope High School, Harry honorably served his country in the US Army before later retiring from the Air Force, having earned the rank of Staff Sergeant. Harry later continued his education at the University of Central Oklahoma, where he earned a BA and then also an MBA from Oklahoma City University. He began working for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) as an electronics engineer in the early 1960s and retired in the early 1990s. During his long career with FAA, he accepted many assignments in Washington, D.C, Puerto Rico and the FAA Training Academy in Oklahoma City where he was responsible for technical and training certification of employees. After retirement, he extended his working career with various FAA contractors. On October 13, 1951, he married Barbara Gretchen Craft and together they shared more than 65 years of marriage and raising a family. He enjoyed all things electronic & educational in nature and in his spare time undertook many home improvements in addition to being an avid reader. A loving husband, devoted father and doting grandfather, Harry will also be remembered for his work ethic and fairness to all.

Brother, David Darrell Grindstaff;
Son, Todd Andrew Grindstaff;
Grandson, Christopher Edward Grindstaff.

Brother, Donald A. Grindstaff and wife Shirley;
Daughter, Robin D. Ross and husband John;
Son, Michael A. Grindstaff and wife Debbie;
Son, Bruce E. Grindstaff and wife Diana;
Grandchildren: Michael Benjamin Grindstaff and wife Tricia & Jeffrey Anderson Grindstaff and wife Colleen;
Great-grandchildren: Lynnley Grindstaff and Abby Grindstaff.
