Steven "Stevie" Joyner
Vondel Smith Mortuary at South Lakes

Funeral Service: 11AM Sat. May 27, 2017
Location: South Lakes Chapel

Steven Lamont Joyner, fondly known as Stevie by his family and friends, went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 22, 2017 at the age of 41. The son of Alexander and Lono Elizabeth (Vaughn) Joyner, Stevie was born May 11, 1976 in Decatur, Georgia. A 1996 graduate of U.Ss Grant High School, Stevie began working for the Dale Rogers Training Facility in Oklahoma City while in high school and thoroughly enjoyed working there for the next 15 years until his health prevented it. Stevie always cherished his great memories and friendships he made at Dale Rogers. Stevie loved watching action films like the Fast & Furious and TV shows like Walker Texas Ranger. He and his brother spent a lot of time together going to see all the new movies out in the theatre. Stevie also loved watching sports and was an avid OU and Thunder Basketball fan. Another passion of his was music, especially country music whether it was old classic country or the new current country songs. Stevie loved life and lived it to the fullest. He loved his family wholeheartedly and will be deeply missed by all.

Stevie was preceded in death by his:
Father, Alexander Joyner on April 17, 2009.

Stevie leaves cherished memories with his loving:
Mother, Lono Elizabeth Joyner;
Brother, William Joyner and his wife, Candice;
Sister, Andrea Joyner;
Aunt, Wilma Foley;
And many friends.
