Obituary for Carma Leta (Gibson) Jackson

Carma Leta (Gibson) Jackson
Our beloved Carma Leta Jackson died on December 31, 2017 at Integris Hospice House.

Born in Bridge Creek, Oklahoma on June 16, 1937 to Cecil and Alta Gibson. Her first job was with Robinson Steel Company in Oklahoma City. She met and married the love of her life, Collis Davis on July 14, 1961 and had 33 wonderful years together.

Carma Leta accepted Jesus Christ as her savior at a young age and has always been a friend of God. She enjoyed and appreciated her pastors Greg Whitlow and Dr. Hans Dilbeck. Charlie and Carma attended Quail Springs Baptist Church where they met their mentor and teacher, Harold Mathena, who will be a cherished friend forever.

Carma loved tennis, bridge, golf, and socializing – her list of lifelong friends is countless. She had a wonderful smile that could light up the room.

She is survived by her loving husband, Charlie Jackson, with whom she spent 16 amazing years. She is also survived by her brother Carl Gibson, three children: Tonya Murray, Carla Hyust, and Kyle Davis, five grandchildren: Brittney Baez, Carley Hake, Cody Murray, Madison and Emma Hyust, four great grandchildren: Julienne, Graham, and Carma Baez, and Ryan McGregor.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Friday, January 5th at the funeral home. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 6th in the Vondel L Smith & Son Mortuary North Chapel, 13125 N. MacArthur Blvd. with interment following in Memorial Park Cemetery.
