Obituary for Tawanna Romine (Bohde)

Tawanna  Romine (Bohde)
Tawanna Lee Romine died in Royse City, Texas on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at the age of 91. She was recovering from a heart attack. Tawanna was named after a young Indian girl and the name Tawanna is a Choctaw Indian name meaning “Beautiful Running Water.” Tawanna was born May 9, 1927 in Maysville, Oklahoma to Zelma and Clarence Bohde. In 1945, she graduated from Capitol Hill High School and remained active in the Captiol Hill Alumni Association for many years. Tawanna married Lawrence E. Romine on March 29, 1947 in Oklahoma City and they lived their entire married life in south Oklahoma City. Tawanna was a bookkeeper who worked for Stockyards Bank and the Capitol Hill Beacon newspaper. Lawrence and Tawanna were long time members of New Hope Christian Church. Tawanna enjoyed flower gardening, crewel embroidery work and reading.


She leaves behind cherished memories with her:
