Obituary for Charles Smith

Major (Ret.) James “Jim” Harold Neuschaefer entered Heaven’s gates on Friday, September 28, 2018 at 74. He was born on December 28, 1943 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to his parents, Harold O. and Augusta (Lacy) Neuschaefer. Jim was a graduate of Capitol Hill High School. He married his sweetheart, Earlene Jones, on June 27, 1964 and together shared more than 54 years of marriage and raising their sons, Russ and Robb. After graduating from OU, Jim joined the US Air Force and honorably served his country during the Vietnam Era. He received his masters at the Air University in Dayton, Ohio. He retired after 21 years from the United States Air Force. After his honorable discharge, he worked many years for H&R Block, where he was a tax preparer. He also worked as a financial advisor.
