Ronald Dean McClure, 84, entered Heaven’s gates on December 24th 2018. He was born in Oklahoma City to Samuel C and Lula McClure where he was raised, graduating from Capital Hill High School in 1952. He later enlisted in the United States army and proudly served his country in Korea. Ron worked 37 years for the Oklahoma Publishing Company in both the city and state circulation departments and was always thankful for his career. Ron loved the Lord and throughout his life was actively serving in the local church in various leadership and volunteer positions. At the time of his death he was a member of the Southern Hills Baptist Church in Oklahoma City. Ron was a loving and generous man who could always lift others around him with his sense of humor and many funny stories. His acts of kindness and generosity to others in need defined who he was. Words cannot adequately describe how much he was loved or how much he will be missed.

His parents, Samuel and Lula, his sister Arvigene Flanikan, and Gwen McClure, his wife of 49 years all preceded Ron in death.

Ron is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 13 years Patsy,

his stepson David,

three daughters, Sheila Brock, Rhonda Bratton, and Tracy Butler,

along with six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Services to celebrate and remember his life will be held at 10:00am, Friday December 29th 2018 at Vondel Smith Mortuary at South Lakes (4000 SW 119th St.) with interment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
