I first met Dave when he was invited to lead a strategic planning session for the Missions Council at Church of the Servant. Soon after, I asked him to do the same for Rebuilding Together, a local nonprofit. Dave was professional, patient, capable and kind. He was a gracious leader who was generous with his time and talent.
Dave took an interest in me that continues to influence my life. He was a mentor on business and spiritual matters, and a friend in all. His belief in me is something I will always cherish.
Like so many, I am shocked and saddened by his sudden departure. I will miss our lunches, his smile, our Sunday hand shakes, and his big ideas.
I offer my condolences to Marge and family. Dave is missed.

Dr. Carmichael was my professor at OCU, then later organized OK Ethics first student ethics chapter. He will always hold a special place in my heart - a great example of integrity and a fabulous teacher of life.
