Gloria Joy (Boone) Lollar was born August 29, 1925 in Dallas, TX the daughter of Otis Daniel and Edith Harriet (Prater) Boone. She completed this life on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at the age of 93. She married Rex Ulric Lollar on February 3, 1945. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Lester D. Boone and Vernon Dale Boone; her sister Doris Y. Boone Mock; her son, Rex Ulric Lollar, Jr; her daughters, Betty Lyn Lollar and Melinda Lollar Robinson. She is survived by her granddaughter, Alicia K. Harper and her husband Arthur; her grandson, Shannon U. Donahue and his wife Robyn; her great Grandchildren, Hunter Micah Harper and McKenna Joy Harper; her nieces, Sue Edens; her nephew, Dr. John Patz; her sister-in-law, Evelyn Lollar of Anson, TX. She is also survived by her devoted caregiver, Pat Johnson.

Joy considered her family to be her most beautiful blessing and she dearly loved her Mayfair Church of Christ and her friends. She was an active member of Mayfair since 1965.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 5:00 p.m., Thursday at Vondel Smith Mortuary North, 13125 N. MacArthur Blvd.. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 8th at Mayfair Church of Christ with interment following in Resurrection Cemetery.
