Obituary for Martin Frederick Foutz Jr.
Martin Frederick Foutz, Jr. was born November 2, 1930 in Luthersburg, Pennsylvania the son of Martin Frederick and Clara Faye (Crawford) Foutz. Pastor Foutz completed this life on Monday, June 18, 2019.
Pastor Foutz was educated in the Lutheran Seminary. He served his country as a military chaplain in the United States Air Force retiring as a Colonel. He and his family in many places around the world while being assigned to different bases. After retirement he served a church in Texas in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (E.L.C.A. Synod).
Pastor Foutz married Marjorie Ann Slee on May 28, 1955. She preceded him in death on May 24, 2018. Pastor Foutz was also preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Kristin Foutz Nicek.
He is survived by his son, Paul Foutz and his wife Kim of Temple, TX; his daughter, Susan Lodes and her husband Ron of Yukon, OK; his son-in-law, Charles Nicek of Oklahoma City; his brothers, David Foutz and his wife Montine of Valdosta, GA and Mark Foutz and his wife Susan of Fernandina Beach, FL; his grandchildren, Christopher Turner, Douglas Turner and his wife Bonnie, Matthew Nicek and his wife Ann, Zachary Nicek, Megan Foutz and Melanie Foutz; his great Grandchildren, Emma Turner, Martin Turner and Marley Turner.
A memorial service to be held in St. Ann Nursing Home Chapel will be announced later.
