Rachel Elizabeth Terranova passed away unexpectedly on Monday, September 16, 2019 at the age of 27. She was born in Stillwater, Oklahoma on January 21, 1992 to her parents, Peter and Clara Terranova. Rachel was a happy child with a smile on her face and she never let anything get her down. Rachel was raised in south Oklahoma City, where she attended Red Oak Elementary, Brink Jr. High and Westmoore High School. During high school, Rachel was active in the band, color guard, choir, the Oklahoma Youth Philharmonic and the Oklahoma Youth Orchestra. During her childhood and teenage years, Rachel attended Southern Hills Baptist Church where she assisted with children in the nursery. In 2010, Rachel graduated from Westmoore High School. Just shortly after high school, Rachel took a job delivering pizza for Papa John’s. She enjoyed interacting with customers and the new job gave her a chance to get even more familiar with the city she grew up in. Rachel stayed active in the workforce as she attended OSU/OKC working towards becoming a Certified Nurse’s Aide. She also attended Moore/Norman Vo-Tech where she trained to become an EMT. After Rachel received her CNA certification, she began working as a CNA at Grace Living Center off of SW 84th St. and S. Western Ave. where caring for others brought her tremendous joy and gave her a sense of purpose. She was later hired at the Norman Veterans Hospital where she continued her career as a CNA. In her spare time, Rachel enjoyed puzzles, drawing, singing and spending time with family at her grandparents’ home on the Suwanee River in Florida. Rachel had a bright personality and a desire to help others. Her presence on this earth will be deeply missed and she will never be forgotten. Her parents’ hearts are broken never to be the same again. Rachel was a precious gift from God. She is now our heavenly angel taken from us too soon. We rejoice that she is now reunited with her with grandparents and uncle.
