Obituary for Robert William Hill

Robert “Bob” W. Hill
(Bobby, Daddy, Bob, Bebop, Pops, Sir, Buddy)
September 29, 1941 – January 8, 2020

Robert “Bob” William Hill, 78, moved peacefully from this life on January 8, 2020 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on September 29, 1941 to Robert Lamoine and Mary Ola Cathryn (Johns) Hill. Bob was a Christian man and served as a deacon at Capitol Hill Assembly of God and loved Royal Family Kids Camp 118. Bobby and Sue dated for 2 years, graduated from Southeast High School, attended Sunnylane Assembly of God Church, and married 58 years ago. They were best friends and the love of each other’s life for 60 years. “Daddy” loved his three daughters wholeheartedly and was involved in their adventures. Dad never missed one of DeVonna’s musical productions and loved to bale hay at the ranch. He went to OU basketball games with Karie and together they were arm chair coaches for every sporting event imaginable. It was their time together that was the real focus. He would attend the Miss UCO scholarship pageant with Alana. He was also known to sneak away with Alana for an occasional Hot Fudge Peanut Butter shake at their favorite Sonic. “Bebop” worked at Fleming Foods for 35 years and was an award winning forklift operator. “Pops” was confidant, mentor, and role model. He loved a round of golf with his buddies as weather and tee times allowed. He genuinely enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Storytelling, running errands, serving his church family tending to the lawn and flowerbeds filled his days. He was always on the go. He is preceded in death by his parents. He leaves cherished memories with his wife of the home, Sue; three daughters; DeVonna Landrum and husband Ron; Alana Hill; & Karie Hill; sister, Frances Hill; and numerous other family members as well as friends of all ages. Bob Hill loved Jesus and served others.
