Darlene Ruth Amburn passed away in Norman on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at the age of 81. Darlene was born in Okeene, Oklahoma on June 8, 1938 to Edward and Ida (Geis) Lorenz. After her mother’s passing, Darlene was raised by her maternal aunt, Emma Geis. She married Russell Lee Amburn, and together they celebrated many years of marriage before his passing in 1998. Darlene worked as an Accountant for a local Bank and went on to be a Bus Driver for the Moore Public Schools. She was also a homemaker and loved to vegetable garden, enjoy lunch with church friends, study the bible, and spend time with her kids, most of all her granddaughter. She was more importantly known as Mom and Nannan. Darlene will be deeply missed.

Maternal aunt, Emma Geis Meissinger and her husband Jake;
Husband, Russell Lee Amburn;
10 siblings.

Granddaughter, Gabrielle Adams and her husband Thomas;
One brother James Lorenz and his wife Betty;
Numerous other loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
