Obituary for Janet Sue Coit (Jones)
Janet Sue (Jones) Coit was born February 6, 1939 in Oklahoma City the daughter of Wyatt A. and Pantie (Stovall) Jones. She completed this life on Thursday, January 30, 2020 in Oklahoma City at the age of 80.
Sue married Bill Brackett Coit on September 23, 1961. They made their home in Oklahoma City where they raised their three sons and were longtime members of Portland Avenue Baptist Church. Sue and Bill managed Coit’s Drive-Ins which were founded by his parents and co-owned commercial real estate properties.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Carlene Odom.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Bill Coit; her sons, Dean Coit and his wife Karen of Piedmont, Eddie Coit and his wife, Deidra of OKC and Kendall Coit and his wife Sherry of Edmond; her grandchildren, Tyler, Cameron, Kalie, Kenzie, Kaitlyn, Logan, and Olivia Coit.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm on Monday at the funeral home. Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at Portland Avenue Baptist Church.
