David graduated from David Lipscomb High School in Nashville, TN. He married the love of his life, Betty Frances Levescy on September 28th, 1962 at Grand Blvd. Church of Christ in Oklahoma City, OK. They were blessed with three children, David, Jr., Shannon and Amanda. David proudly served his country in the US Army (active duty) from 1963 to 1965 and was stationed in Germany for a tour. He continued his commitment in the US Army Reserve until 1967. David began his career with the Oklahoma City Fire Department in December, 1962, while completing his college degree attending OSU. David had many fond memories of enjoying the outdoors, camping, travel and Nascar races with family and friends along with meeting and socializing with his Fire Department family.
