Patty Ann Thompson passed from this life to her new home in Heaven on August 23, 2020. She was 79 years old. She was born on March 22, 1941 in Oklahoma City to Luther & Dolly Wynn. In 1959, she graduated from US Grant High School where she was a three year cheerleader, Head Cheerleader during her Junior year, and served as the US Grant Football Queen. She also played all sports offered to girls and earned numerous letters. The only child born to two loving parents, Patty’s mother made most of her clothes and her dad made certain she had anything she needed to play competitive sports. She met a young man named Richard Thompson at an evening church service at Indiana Ave Christian Church in 1957 and the two became inseparable. On June 6, 1959, the two were united in marriage and in those early years, Patty worked for her dad in Wynn Construction Co. She was also a longtime member of Willow Creek Golf & Country Club where she was active in the Ladies Golf Assoc. for more than 25 years. Patty was a quiet person and highly respected by all her friends. Patty was proud of her Baptist faith and supported her church, Southern Hills Baptist Church, as well as the Baptist Children’s Home, The Hope Pregnancy Center, the Baptist Retirement Centers, and Falls Creek Camp in the Arbuckle Mountains. She was recently honored to have her name put on the new Pregnancy Mobile Unit. She’s the proud mother of two children, Micki Ann Thompson and Richard Curtis Thompson. She was also very proud of her five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. On June 6, 2020, Patty and Richard celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary. Patty had also shared a real love for flowers and enjoyed spending time in her backyard with her favorite dog, Sassy. Patty will be missed by all family and friends.

She was preceded in death by an infant brother, Boyd Luther Wynn, and her mother Laura Anna "Dolly", who died of cancer in 1979.
