Obituary for "Jo" Mauldin

Josephine Cecelia Mauldin was born September 3, 1920 to Nunziato and Cecelia Magnone, in Yorkville, Ohio. After graduating high school, Jo moved to Washington, DC, where she found a job in the State Department. It was in DC that she met her sweetheart Clark who was stationed there in the Air Force. They shared 66 years of marriage until Clark’s passing in 2012. Jo was an amazing cook as known to many, and loved cooking and baking. In addition to the wonderful Italian dishes passed on from her mother, she mastered all kinds of cooking and gave her recipes to many. Clark and Jo loved the Lord, and were actively involved in His work; she loved cooking for Meals on Wheels and she and Clark delivered the meals for many years. Jo was a wonderful mother, grandma, and great grandma. We will miss her so much. She is survived by her children, Mack Mauldin and wife Jan, Mary and husband Terry Johnston; grandchildren, Justin Beaty and wife Jennifer, Jennifer Mauldin, Amy Ingraham, Stacey Cordell, and Zach Johnston; and great grandchildren Mason Beaty, Max Beaty, Harper Ingraham, and Jeran Johnston. Survivors also include her brother Thomas Magnone of Yorkville, OH. Our deepest gratitude to the staff of Southridge Place Assisted Living for the care provided to our mom these past years, and to Physician’s Choice Hospice, we are eternally grateful. You are invited to attend Jo’s graveside service at 2 p.m. on Thursday, September 24th, 2020, at Vondel L. Smith Mortuary, 4000 SW 119th, Oklahoma City.
