Obituary for Neil Bond

Due to Covid pre-cautions the family will be having a private Graveside Service on Saturday.

Richard Neil Bond, age 78, passed away on Monday, October 26, 2020, in his home in Newcastle, Oklahoma. Neil was born on April 8, 1942 in Oklahoma City to W.C. “Jack” Bond and Helen Eunice (McClinton) Bond. Neil remained in the Oklahoma City area, graduating from Grant High School. He attended 1 year at Oklahoma State University, before returning home to marry his high school sweetheart, Elaine, and continue a job he loved, iron working. After working many years at Allied Steel, Neil joined a partnership creating Bond Builders. He was very proud of his accomplishments. His motto being, “I don’t have to go to work, I get to go to work.” Neil is preceded in death by his parents Jack and Eunice Bond, brothers Ray Bond and Carl Bond, granddaughter Carly Alyson Bond and daughter-in-law Kerry Bond. Neil is survived by his wife of nearly 60 years, Elaine Bond of the home, two sons Rick Bond and wife Dee, Russ Bond and wife Sandy; four grandchildren Tommy Bond and wife Erin, Britni Trimble and husband Landon, Brooklyn Orth and husband Jeriah, and Ryan Bond; four great grandchildren Aria, Liam, Allyson, and Eoin, sister Judy Bond, aunts, uncles, cousins and many dear friends who were like family.

No viewing or visitation. Graveside services to celebrate his life will be held 11:30 AM Saturday, Oct 31, 2020 at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
