On Thursday, February 18th, 2021, Danya Lynn Bruza, loving wife and mother of two children passed away suddenly and swiftly at the age of 59.

Danya was born to Tom & Lorraine Blakey September 30th, 1961 at 9:07am inside Oklahoma City’s Wesley Hospital. A lover of animals (she owned no fewer than 12 different species in her lifetime), Danya was a rambunctious child who chased lizards and rode cows on her grandparent’s farm. She once fished a turtle from a nearby pond that, to her great surprise, became the star of a delectable soup! By the age of only 10 years old, Danya lost both of her parents, and found herself raised in joint effort by her adult siblings Dorenda, Ronnie, Donna, and brother-in-law Mike Wilson. Growing up in the Wilson household provided her, for better and for worse, a surrogate little sister in her niece Tara. The rambunctiousness of pre-pubescence would soon give way to rebelliousness in her teen years, testing many, but ultimately strengthening some of her familial bonds. In fact, there was at least one non-familial broken nose after one such act of teenage rebellion. Through the romances and liaisons that come with life, Danya would eventually meet her soon-to-be husband, the salt-and-peppered Raymond at Norick Brothers, Inc., a printing business in Oklahoma City. They raised two children, Kaleb and Cole, as she traversed many different careers, ultimately earning her Certificate of Mastery in Early Childhood Development, and working with children pre-K through grade school.

Danya was preceded in death by parents Tom & Lorraine Blakey (née Rutledge), sister Donna Wilson, and brother Ronnie Blakey, as well as brothers-in-law John Malcolm, Mike Wilson, and sister-in-law Janice Blakey.

She is survived by her husband Raymond Bruza, her two sons, Kaleb and Cole Bruza, her sister Dorenda Malcolm, and her niece Tara Horton.
