Story shared: grandpa tell me about the good old days

Me & my sister sang this song at one of our family reunions call grandpa tell me about the good old days by the judds & he loved that little song soo much he spoke about it to almost anybody & after that my cousins wanted to sing that exact song next couple reunions but he spoke about how proud he was of us & how that song meant so much to him.

I wrote this poem for my great grandpa: As tears roll down my face I wonder when I'll next see your face I will charish all you gave me I understand this is how it must be You will join my angel in the sky I am thankful I got to say goodbye you was the best & greatest to us all You must go to the lord's call We will meet again someday But that's just what they say I wonder if it's true Is that something we really do? I pray that you're without pain I know in heaven you don't need a cane I'll charish it all in my heart I'll never forget any part Angels gone today Will see again someday

I remember my great grandpa as being the best person. He would light up a room with his smile so if you was sad he would make you smile. I will miss him dearly. He told some stories about his trips he took on his truck & he always brought me & my sister what we collected because he never forgot us. At their house (grandma & grandpa) they had these two teddy bears that me & my sister would get as soon as we walked in the doors which we use to visit them often, so when we took our cousins there they too would try to grab the bears that we already had & we would argue over those little teddy bears. I don't know what happened to those bears but I would say they have a history with us all as grand children. he will be missed by many.

In the very early hours of the morning on this day God chose to take another American Hero and allow him to join in His band of Angels. Tonight Papa Lovelady joined his beloved MIMI in the arms of out Lord and Saviour and as the family here on earth mourns his passing the angels rejoice in his release of all pain and suffering. Angi and Vaughn you are his angels on earth and have shown the true meaning of Christianity and unconditional Love. May your beloved Papa rest in peace.

I remember everytime I went to Aunt Angi and Uncle Vaughn's house Grandpa would ask me to come and sit with him and he would always tell me stories.... He always had a smile on his face and love in his heart. It will not be the same not hearing " Tracy Jo" when I walk in the door coming from his room. I know he is happy know up there in heaven with Meme, the love of his life.
